Philadelphia's Mayor Cherelle L. Parker has set a robust agenda for today. This morning at 10 AM, the mayor is attending the showcase for One Philly, a united citywide initiative aimed at cleaning and greening local spaces, as detailed in a media advisory. Parker, alongside Clean and Green Director Williams and various stakeholders, will be touching base at Lewis Street, between Delaware Avenue and Richmond Street.
Mayor Parker has a 1:30 PM engagement at City Hall where she will be recognizing young community leaders as part of the Philly Service Award's first-ever Impact Awardees event, these students, over 62 high schools represented, have dedicated themselves to creating and leading service projects across Philadelphia. The venue for this acknowledgment is the Mayor’s Reception Room, where Parker will meet with these driven high schoolers from diverse educational backgrounds, including public, private, charter, and parochial schools.
Notably, the mayor's public schedule was released at midnight, prior to the day's events, providing transparency and insight into the city's proactive measures on issues of public service and environmental stewardship.
