
Authorities in Needles have taken a 21-year-old man into custody on charges including attempted murder, following an assault incident that prompted a swift law enforcement response. Alejandro Aguirre, a resident of the small city on the Colorado River, was arrested after deputies responded to a call on Thursday evening, as reported by the Colorado River Sheriff's Department.
The ordeal began around 5:14 p.m. on the 400 block of B Street, as deputies from the Colorado River Station and Needles Police Department embarked to investigate the report of an assault, as per the Colorado River Sheriff's Department. Aguirre was found to have allegedly committed several violations, including attempted murder, false imprisonment, and damaging phone lines, which quickly led to an arrest.
Upon his arrest, Aguirre was transported to the Colorado River Station jail. He remains there in place of a $1,000,000.00 bail, pending a future court appearance. Details regarding the victim have been withheld, as the investigation continues and authorities gather more information.
