The Houston area just got a little more boisterous with the opening of Bubba's 33, a new sports bar and restaurant chain known for a mix of American cuisine and a vibrant sports-bar vibe. The Katy location, now the first in the Houston region, welcomed patrons on June 10, ready to serve up its signature dishes and casual dining experience. Reporting from The Houston Chronicle, the establishment offers an array of menu choices, including a standout ribeye marinated in espresso.

Ignacio Navarrette, a Houston native and the managing partner, expressed his connection to the area, stating, "The Houston area is home to me and my amazing wife and two children. When we started the journey we knew that the Katy community was the perfect fit for us, and Bubba’s 33." Bubba's 33 aims to quickly become part of the local fabric and is designed to be a family-friendly destination with a specialized kids' menu to prove it.

As described by Houston Chronicle, the menu at Bubba’s 33 isn't just geared towards carnivores. Despite a hearty selection of ground beef burgers and wings, there are vegetarian-friendly options such as salads, a veggie pizza, and a black bean burger. Navarrette emphasized the scratch-made approach of Bubba's 33 saying, "We like to say 'scratch-made, food-for-all,' Because it’s true. We make everything from scratch with tried-and-true recipes. Everything from pastas, burgers, pizzas, to amazing entrees and cocktails.”

Beyond the food, the Katy location promises an immersive sporting experience with large-screen TVs distributed throughout the 7,500 square-foot space, ensuring guests don't have to ever miss a play. And for those looking to unwind with a drink, the place has a variety of beers, margaritas, signature cocktails, and wines. All flanked by exposed brick walls, sports memorabilia, and neon signs, the aesthetic is carefully tuned to simultaneously be throwback and contemporary. Boasting 47 locations nationwide, Bubba's 33 is a chain that seeks to merge family-friendly dining with the energetic atmosphere of a sports bar. Its recent expansion into Houston's territory marks a continued growth for the subsidiary of Kentucky-based Texas Roadhouse, first founded in 2013.

The new venue is located at 2704 W. Grand Parkway N., Katy, and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and keeps its lights on a little later Friday and Saturday, until 12 a.m, according to Community Impact.
