The Baytown Police Department, in an ongoing effort to find 29-year-old Kalie Goodwin who vanished without a trace on April 21, is seeking the public's help. Last seen in her Baytown home, the search for Goodwin has expanded into the Houston area, and with each day that passes, the urgency intensifies. The Baytown Sun reports that Kalie was last seen around 7 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 3100 block of Decker Drive.
Detailed descriptions of her appearance and what she might be wearing have been circulated in hopes that someone, somewhere might recognize her — or recall a detail that could lead to her discovery. According to Click2Houston, Goodwin may have been wearing a sky-blue sundress with sunflowers and black, flat, open-toe sandals, or alternatively, a white hoodie. She stands at 5-feet, four-inches, weighs 120 pounds, and is recognized by her brown hair, blue eyes, and a distinctive tattoo sleeve on her right arm.
Complicating the search is the haunting connection between Goodwin's disappearance and a suspect in a murder case. Quan Flowers, currently detained, is believed to be the last person to see Goodwin before she went missing. Flowers was arrested for the murder of Megan Rouse, another woman of a similar age to Goodwin. The links between these cases have not been overlooked, though this has not led to a breakthrough in finding Kalie as of yet.
In addition, conflicting reports about her clothing at the time she was last seen, have emerged. While Click2Houston details the possibility of her wearing a sundress or a hoodie, Baytown PD's description, includes a red shirt, red leggings, vans and a blue duffel bag. The lack of clarity over what she may have been wearing last, adds an unwanted layer of complexity to an already desperate search.
