An incident of road rage escalated to gunfire on the I-275 freeway near Sibley Road in Huron Township, Michigan, Wednesday morning. According to Click On Detroit, at around 7:25 a.m., two drivers became embroiled in a dispute that resulted in one car being struck twice by bullets. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
The suspected shooter, a 28-year-old man from Delta, Ohio, was taken into custody by Romulus police, and a pistol was later found in his car by Michigan State Police troopers. WWJ Newsradio reported that the freeway had to be closed temporarily for an evidence sweep following the shooting. The other driver involved in the incident had already reached the police parking lot by the time state police were called and was subsequently released.
