On the evening of June 24, a confrontation outside a Rancho Cucamonga store escalated into violence, leading to the arrest of a woman two days later. Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department were called to the 10900 block of Foothill Boulevard after an argument led to an assault involving multiple individuals and two victims.
The incident began when the first victim, whose identity has been kept confidential, had an altercation with people in two black vehicles. After speaking with a passerby, who became the second victim, they were both attacked by suspects who emerged from one of the SUVs. In addition to the physical assault, the assailants stole the first victim's phone and keys before fleeing the scene. While the second victim declined medical attention, the first was hospitalized due to the severity of their injuries. Delores Pree, 35, has been identified and arrested in connection with the assault, according to an article released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
Pree, a resident of Lancaster, is facing serious charges. She has been booked at the West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $50,000. Her charges include assault with a deadly weapon and robbery, as noted by Deputy M. Alvarado and Detective B. Davault in their report. Details of the assault were outlined in a press release published in the early hours of June 27th.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are seeking additional information from the public. The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department has encouraged anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward. Tips can be made directly to the Police Department at 909-477-2800 or anonymously through the We-Tip Hotline. As the legal process moves forward, Pree is expected to appear before the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court, on June 28.
