
A Rialto man has been taken into custody following an incident where he reportedly assaulted and robbed two women. Kevin Banuelos, a 22-year-old, allegedly entered a residence in Bloomington without authorization and attacked one of the victims in her kitchen before forcefully stealing property from another, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
The Sheriff's Department stated that deputies were called to the home in the 9300 block of Linden Avenue at approximately 9:59 p.m. on Sunday. It was during their investigation that Banuelos, identified as the suspect, was met and eventually located at a residence in the 200 block of S. Linden Avenue, Rialto, where he tried to pass himself off with a false name. Despite the initial deceit, authorities apprehended him without incident and recovered the stolen property.
Following the arrest, Banuelos was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on charges of robbery and assault with means likely to cause great bodily injury. Further details about the encounter and the sequence of events leading up to Banuelos' capture were not disclosed in the official report.
