In a recent turn of legal events, Noel Desselle, associated with a 2022 murder in San Antonio, has been granted 10 years of deferred adjudication. She had initially been charged with altering and concealing a human corpse in connection with the death of Matthew Pacheco-McKinney. Desselle, 31, struck a plea deal, receiving probation over potential prison time. In contrast, her co-defendant, Justin Rashaad Hunt, was sentenced to 34 years for the murder after entering a guilty plea as part of another plea agreement, according to a report by KSAT.
Hunt's sentence also encompassed a concurrent 10-year term for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Court documents indicate Hunt will need to serve at least half of his sentence prior to becoming eligible for parole, given his status as a repeat offender. Express-News provided details that paint a chilling picture of the crime, where Pacheco-McKinney was found covered in a blanket and curtain material, his mortal remains marked by the horror of having been tied up, tortured, and forcibly injected with bleach.
The incident from which these court outcomes stem took place at a residence on Montgomery Drive. The deceased's body was later disposed of behind vacant apartments on O’Connor Road in Live Oak, as reported by the Live Oak police. This location became the grim discovery site of Pacheco-McKinney's body, weeks after the alleged murder took place.
Desselle's role in the post-crime activities, specifically in moving the body, led to her initial charges. Investigators said Desselle helped to maneuver the body from the house where the crime reportedly took place to the location where it was ultimately found, according to KSAT.
