
A parolee has been arrested in Santa Ana after attacking three women and attempting to kidnap a child. The suspect, who was on a bicycle, sexually assaulted a woman as she walked with her child through the parking lot of Northgate Market on South Bristol Street, KTLA reports. The distressing incident escalated when the man attempted to abduct the woman's daughter before ultimately fleeing the scene.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department's Instagram post, the description of the suspect was swiftly disseminated among officers, which facilitated his rapid apprehension. During his arrest, authorities learned of two other women who had been victimized by the parolee, earlier that same day. His identity has yet to be released.
"He sexually assaulted her and attempted to pull her daughter away before fleeing," the police shared, as per the santaana_pd, emphasizing the gravity of the offenses committed by the suspect in broad daylight.
The coordinated response by the Santa Ana Police Department and the active involvement of the community were critical in the suspect's arrest. The police underscored their achievement, "This incident highlights the outstanding efforts of our officers in partnership with our community to help make an arrest."
