A car accident in Hesperia resulted in the death of two local men, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported. On June 19, around 3:05 p.m., Hesperia deputies along with the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a call of a rollover accident at Yucca Street near Roble Avenue. The tragedy involved a single vehicle, identified as a 2002 Mini Cooper, and two brothers, Alex and Frank Cardenas, as reported by the Hesperia Police Department.

At the scene, first responders found Alex Cardenas, age 44, near the vehicle. Initial treatment was provided before Alex was moved to a local hospital; he was later transferred to a trauma center. Despite the resuscitative efforts, Alex succumbed to his injuries. His brother Frank, aged 46, was fatally ejected from the car and was found deceased at the scene, according to the Hesperia Police Department. The cause of the crash is under investigation, but preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle was traveling eastward on Yucca Street at a significant speed before losing control and rolling multiple times.
