
A 19-year-old man has tragically lost his life in a single-car accident that occurred early Thursday morning in Ventura County. According to KTLA, the crash was reported around 3:04 a.m. on State Route 232 near Montgomery Avenue, where a black 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was discovered with "major damage."
Initial investigations suggest that the driver's car inexplicably left the roadway and collided with a utility pole, which remarkably remained intact, as per KTLA. The driver, whose identity has yet to be revealed, was extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel who had to make use of "major equipment." Despite being rapidly transported to a local hospital, the young man was pronounced dead approximately an hour after the accident took place.
As reported by The Ventura County Star, adding that the site of the incident is situated outside the Oxnard city limits, in a zone characterized by commercial and agricultural activity. Precisely, the accident happened as the victim was driving northbound on Vineyard Avenue, just short of Carnegie Place.
