His bid for a full term is alongside council member Vanessa Fuentes who's also seeking reelection, as reported by KVUE. Other potential candidates have until August 19 to submit their paperwork. Watson’s current achievements include an emphasis on jobs with the creation of the Austin Infrastructure Academy, a crackdown on homelessness, and the implementation of housing reforms—one of the city's pressing issues.
