
Law enforcement in Baltimore's Western District took two individuals into custody after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a stolen handgun. The incident occurred on the evening of July 28, when detectives pulled over a vehicle on Edmondson Avenue and subsequently identified the driver who had an active warrant out for his arrest, as reported by the Baltimore Police on their social media.

On July 28, 2024, at approximately 8:09 p.m., detectives working out of the Western District conducted a vehicle stop in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue.

During the stop which unfolded in the 2800 block, the officers found both the 32-year-old male driver and his companion, a 32-year-old female, to be in possession of the loaded firearm that had been reported as stolen within the city limits.
Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident and have been charged after being booked into the Central Booking Intake Facility. The department has yet to release the identities of those involved.
