
In a briefing that took place late last evening, The authorities revealed the arrest of a 41-year-old male suspected of drug dealing on the streets of the city. While monitoring live CCTV footage on July 7, detectives from the Central District DAT zeroed in on the suspect engaging in what appeared to be drug transactions on the 300 block of West Lexington Street, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

At around 5:40 p.m., the detectives took action based on their surveillance, approaching and arresting the unidentified man. According to the police report, a search conducted at the time of arrest yielded both controlled dangerous substances (CDS) and a firearm. The items discovered during the arrest call into question the preeminent issue of ongoing street-level drug distribution and associated violent crime within the city limits.
The suspect has been transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility (CBIF) where they will undergo processing. The Baltimore Police Department's swift action underlines its ongoing commitment to stemming the tide of illegal drug sales and possession of illegal firearms in Baltimore's neighborhoods.
