A Bullhead City man, aged 67, met a tragic fate in the waters of the Colorado River this past Wednesday. The incident, cited as an accidental drowning by Bullhead City Police Department, unfolded at around 4:10 p.m. near the 1200 block of Riverfront Drive, an area roughly two miles southwest of the glistening casinos of Laughlin, on the Arizona banks of the river.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the reports of the possible drowning, arriving to find the man already pulled from the river by several quick-acting bystanders. Efforts to resuscitate began immediately, as per KTNV. However, despite these valiant attempts, the man was later pronounced dead at the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. His identity remains withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
The local authorities stated, "The drowning appeared to be accidental." This sentiment was echoed in coverage by 8 News Now, solidifying the notion that the tragic incident bore no markers of foul play.
