Bryant's rise through the ranks is a testament to his dedication and skill. He started as a Maintenance Worker in the Water and Wastewater division and has steadily climbed the ladder—becoming Crew Leader, Water Field Supervisor, and Utilities Superintendent. His most recent promotion before taking the helm was to Assistant Director of Public Works on April 8, 2024. His journey is demonstrative of the city's propensity to cultivate leaders from the grassroots of its public service operations, rewarding experience, and an intimate understanding of Duncanville's needs.

With a history deeply intertwined with the community, Bryant appears proud and ready to take on his new responsibilities. "I'm very excited about the direction Duncanville is going with this team. We are all full of new ideas, ambition, and follow through," Bryant said, as per the City of Duncanville. He also recollected his early years, giving a nod to his past experiences that have shaped his professional journey. "I never imagined that, as a student at Duncanville High School, I would play such a vital role in my hometown. I owe it all to the great men who trained me in the ditch with sharpshooters and mud wrenches", he added.
