
Early this morning, a two-alarm fire broke out at a home in Wahiawa as reported by the Honolulu Fire Department, with the initial call coming in at about 3:35 a.m. for a residence located at 305 Koa Street, as per Hawaii News Now reports. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene, confronting visible flames and smoke billowing from the small, single-story building.
While the fire was rapidly upgraded, indicating the severity residences in the vicinity had no option but to watch, hope, wait as fire crews worked to control and eventually douse the blaze by approximately 4:45 a.m., according to the same source. In what can be considered fortunate circumstances, the house was unoccupied during the incident and no injuries have been reported.
Investigative efforts are currently in place to ascertain the origin and cause of the fire, including a detailed evaluation of the damage incurred. A fire investigator has been dispatched to sift through the debris for clues to what might have sparked this early morning conflagration.
