Euless, Texas, is offering a unique educational encounter for its youngest residents this summer at the Mary Lib Saleh Euless Public Library, where they have the opportunity to meet the four-legged heroes of search and rescue. As detailed by the City of Euless, MARK9 Search and Rescue, a non-profit team based in Mesquite, will be introducing their skilled K9s to kids and sharing insights into their critical work in locating missing people.
The community’s children will get to learn first-hand about these dogs’ capabilities on July 19, between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Described as "Always Ready, Ever Able," MARK9 SAR operates around the clock, year-round, offering its services to various official agencies without charge. Born from a pure-hearted volunteer ethos, their mission underscores a commitment evident in the caliber of handlers and dogs alike striving to assist those in direst need.
Throughout July, every Friday comes alive with special programming aimed at children of diverse ages as part of the library’s summer agenda. Offerings include experiences that are as educational as they are entertaining. In the upcoming event with MARK9 SAR, kids will not only get up close with these canine rescuers but also gain a rich perspective on the role these dogs play in emergencies.
