
Evacuation orders have quickly followed as the Vista Fire escalated at the Mt. Baldy area, setting ablaze nearly 100 acres of land. San Bernardino County Fire Department placed orders to evacuate all hiking trails starting from the ski resort's parking lot upwards. According to KTLA, Mt. Baldy Ski Resort opened Lift No. 1 to aid hikers in need to safely evacuate the region.

Effective immediately, all trails in the Mt Baldy area above the resort parking lot are closed. Mt Baldy ski resort, Lift #1 is open for hikers to assist in evacuation.
There are NO evacuation orders or warnings for the community of Mt Baldy.
The steep terrain has not proved to be easy for more than 250 firefighting personnel to battle effectively against the spreading wildfire. The blaze started around Sunday morning, and evacuation orders were extended later that day to include the ski resort at approximately 6 p.m., as per CBS News.
