To bolster local businesses' resources, the Fort Worth City Council has opened up distribution of surplus personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand sanitizer to encompass a wider array of entities, including all businesses with a permanent address in the city, according to the City of Fort Worth.
The initiative, which marks additional phases following a successful first round of donations that concluded in January this year, now invites businesses to stake a claim on this support – the program prioritizes both health safety and economic stability as reflected in their ongoing distribution efforts, businesses can apply for their share through an online platform or by sending a completed application form available in PDF format.
Applicants are encouraged to act swiftly as the allocation is determined on a first-come, first-served basis, with the cut-off for requests set at July 31, or sooner should supplies be exhausted before that date. The urgency is tempered by an assurance from the City Council that every effort will be made to at least partially fulfill all orders that come their way, applying judicious stewardship of the remaining PPE stock.
Submission logistics are straightforward: complete the form, attach any necessary supporting documents, and submit via the provided email or through the city's website, following which, the city will make contact to arrange a collection time items are to be picked up from either the City Hall or the City Hall Annex located at 401 W. 13th St., in Fort Worth.
