In a grim turn of events in Apple Valley, deputies responded to calls of an emergency at a residence on Bordeaux Court late Sunday morning. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 45-year-old Shaun Griffith suffering from a gunshot wound, with neighbors and a family member attempting to provide medical aid. Griffith was hurriedly transported to a local hospital following intervention from the police and emergency medical teams. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
As the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division delved into the case, it unraveled that April Green, a 46-year-old from Fullerton and Griffith's former partner, had allegedly shot him. She then reportedly fled the scene but was later apprehended near Apple Valley Road and Sitting Bull Road, as reported by the SBSD - Headquarters. Following her arrest, Green was booked for murder at the High Desert Detention Center, where she is currently being held without bail.
Green is expected to appear before the Victorville Superior Court on July 9, as per the SBSD - Headquarters, as authorities proceed with the legal ramifications of the case.
