Law enforcement in Harris County was on high alert when deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle loitering near a gun store with a power outage in the 4400 block of Spring Cypress Road on Thursday evening. Upon investigation, they identified the vehicle's owner as Urick Howell, a man with an outstanding warrant for Murder/Manslaughter, triggering a swift response.
The scene unfolded swiftly as Constable Mark Herman's Special Operations and Canine Unit was called in to aid in the operation. Their warrant service resulted in the safe apprehension of the driver without incident. "Urick Howell was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for his Murder/Manslaughter Warrant. His court and bond information are not available at this time," Constable Mark Herman remarked, according to a post on the Precinct 4 Facebook page. Further details about the circumstances of the murder for which Howell is accused were not immediately disclosed.
