
Houston police are currently investigating a deadly car accident that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday on Harwin Drive. According to the City of Houston, the crash took place at approximately 3:50 a.m., near the 7900 block.
Evident from the evidence gathered so far, a silver Toyota Camry was driven by an unidentified male when he lost control. The car then veered off the road, tragically ejecting the driver as it toppled over a concrete retaining wall and landed in a ditch. Still awaiting confirmation from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, the name of the driver remains to be released.
Responding at the scene, Houston Fire Department paramedics declared the driver dead. As reported by the City of Houston news outlet, the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division's Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson are leading the currently ongoing investigation. Their preliminary findings suggest that no other vehicles or individuals were implicated in the grievous incident.
Inquiries into the cause of the crash have not ceased, as HPD continues to delve into the circumstances surrounding not just the actions. All the while, they are not involving any other parties apart from the lone vehicle and its driver.
