As burger aficionados and casual diners alike have been eagerly anticipating, In-N-Out Burger is set to open its doors at The Outlets at Orange this Friday. This marks another expansion for the famed West Coast burger chain, known for its simple menu and fresh ingredients. The new outlet, snuggly situated at 250 The City Drive South, is right across from the Nike Factory Store, adding even more allure to the popular shopping center.
In a news release, In-N-Out announced the store would offer about 80 jobs to residents, with a notable starting wage of $22.00 per hour. Providing a little respite from California's often high cost of living, the job opportunities and wages are a welcome aspect of the eatery's inception to the community. As for the experience inside, the restaurant promises accommodation with indoor seating for 74 guests and space for another 30 outside on a covered patio, according to KTLA.
With operations slated to run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. most days — and an extra half hour on Fridays and Saturdays until 1:30 a.m. — the location aims to cater to both early birds and night owls. This addition to The Outlets at Orange was planned for some time, with the initial application for a conditional use permit submitted back in August 2020, as reported by the OC Register.
Meanwhile, amidst the buzz over new store openings, a quirky side story emerged surrounding In-N-Out. A recent viral video touting a "secret menu item" caught enough attention that Lynsi Snyder, the owner, felt compelled to weigh in. She reputedly responded to queries with a mixture of humor and clear negation, deploying a skeptical face emoji with a raised eyebrow and a thumbs down, effectively quelling the speculation about the mythical "Monkey Style" burger. As the brand continues its expansion—now with locations lined up across California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Colorado, and Idaho—In-N-Out seems to return to its roots of straightforward offerings and no-frills communication, as per KTLA.
