Helen Hall Library is gearing up for a packed week of community events, starting next Monday with a variety of activities tailored to different age groups and interests. One of the highlights for teens includes "Teen Game On," where participants aged 12 to 18 can engage in an assortment of games such as Nintendo Switch offerings, Cards Against Humanity: Family Edition, and Monopoly. This event will take place on July 29, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Teens are encouraged to bring their own teen-rated games and will need to have smartphones or tablets with internet access for Jackbox games.

For a blend of competition and creativity, the "Library Olympics" will open its doors to contestants of all ages on July 30, from 2 to 3 p.m. According to the event announcement, attendees can look forward to participating in activities and will have the chance to create their own Olympic Gold Medal. On the same day, the Teen Room is set to host a "Teen Anime Binge" from 2 to 7 p.m., where youths can catch up on the Crunchyroll Anime Awards winner, "Bocchi the Rock!"

For fans of the Wizarding World, the "Harry Potter Birthday Bash" promises a magical time with activities, crafts, and fun. This event is scheduled for July 31, from 2 to 3 p.m., and accommodates all ages. It will take place at the Civic Center.

Adults aren't left out of the library's offerings. "Adult Crafts-to-Go" on August 1 lets individuals aged 18 and over pick up a craft kit to create bottle cap magnets at home. While supplies last, these kits can be collected at the Adult Service Desk. Furthermore, "Every Stitch Way" invites fabric and needlework crafters to join in on August 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. to work on their projects in a shared space.

For the writers and musically inclined in the community, "Teen Aspiring Authors" and "Tom's Fun Band: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" can spark creativity. The former, taking place on August 6 from 5 to 7 p.m., allows teen writers to share works in progress. Meanwhile, Mr. Tom from Tom's Fun Band will lead an interactive music event focused on conservation, happening on August 5 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Parents and students engaged in homeschooling can connect at the "Homeschool Meet Up" on August 9 from 3 p.m. onward.

The library also hosts the "Saturday Creation" session on August 10 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., welcoming individuals of all ages to engage in art-making activities. For younger children, "Pop-Up Storytime at Fire Station 2" on August 2 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. promises an engaging storytelling experience.
