Community bonding is set to reach new levels at the Lewisville Public Library this week, with activities that cater to both families and teens. Located at 1197 W. Main Street, the library continues to be a hub for local engagement from Monday to Saturday, while taking a brief pause on Sundays.
Starting with family-oriented fun, the Lewisville Library invites groups to the "Break Out of the Annual Library" event today, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., in the Glenmore Savage Community Room, according to the City of Lewisville, Texas. Teams, which must include at least one adult, will face tabletop challenges designed to be solved through joint effort, and there's a hinted promise of a prize for those who manage to 'break out.'
For the older kids looking to cap off their summer with a bang, a Teen End-of-Summer Movie Night is on the docket. Set for Friday, July 26, from 6:30-9 p.m., the library will be screening "Wonka" (PG, 112 mins) in the Bennett Program Room. Beyond the flick, teens can expect candy salad and exclusive swag at this after-hours extravaganza, but they'll need to snag a registration and permission form either online or at the Youth Services Desk in advance.
