UPDATE: The case of three children reported missing over the weekend took a turn as their mother, Timberly White, 31, is now claiming what transpired was a "misunderstanding." According to KTLA, White, who is accused of kidnapping her children but states she does not have custodial rights, intends to turn herself in to clarify the situation. The children, previously sought by the Los Angeles Police Department, were last seen around 9 a.m. on July 6 in South L.A. but were later found safe with another family member.

Sgt. S. Blackman of the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street station confirmed that the children were located with an adult family member, not with White, as detailed by NBC Los Angeles.
Timberly White has decided that she will be speaking to the media and is arranging to meet with law enforcement to discuss her side of the narrative. Civil rights activist Najee Ali has announced that he will accompany White to ensure her safety and aid in resolving the matter, which he refers to as a mere "custody dispute," as per KTLA.
Amidst concerns for the well-being of the children, the Los Angeles Police Department had issued descriptions of both the children and White, describing her as 5-feet-5-inches tall and about 120 pounds, as reported by Hoodline. The children, identified as Mar-Naiya, Major, and Jeneral, were thought initially to be with White, who had been driving a burgundy 2024 Nissan Sentra SV with noticeable damage.
