A late-night altercation in Downtown San Antonio has left one man hospitalized after a stabbing incident occurred just before 10 p.m. on North Main Avenue near Interstate 35. According to a report by FOX San Antonio, police stated that two men, initially hanging out together, became embroiled in a fight that ultimately led to one of the men wielding a knife and inflicting a stab wound on the other.
After the incident, the suspect was reportedly apprehended by law enforcement at a nearby bus stop. Despite the violent circumstances leading to his hospitalization, the victim is expected to recover fully. Nearby, an investigation unfolded as detectives sought to piece together the event's details.
Further information was released by KENS 5, identifying the alleged assailant as Joseph Kelley III, aged 63. The incident took place across the street from a Luby's restaurant on the 900 block of North Main Avenue, where the two men were initially spending time prior to the onset of their dispute.
