
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently enlisting the help of local residents to locate suspects involved in a recent aggravated assault. According to an official statement from the MPD, the assault occurred in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, July 13, where individuals were attacked at the intersection of 11th Street and U Street, Northwest.
Details surrounding the incident are still emerging, and authorities have yet to release descriptions of the suspects who are said to have fled the scene following the attack, meanwhile, the victims have been sent to a nearby hospital, fortunately sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, they are expected to make a full recovery. The policing body is scouring the neighborhood for any additional evidence and is urging anyone with information or potential video surveillance footage that could aid the investigation to step forward.
