
Authorities in Washington D.C. are actively seeking the public's help to track down suspects involved in a recent armed carjacking incident in the Northeast quadrant of the city. The Metropolitan Police Department released a statement detailing the crime that occurred in the early morning hours of July 7. According to the police report, at approximately 4:30 a.m. on the 800 block of K Street, Northeast, three individuals alighted from a vehicle and confronted the owner of another car that was running at the time. Two of the suspects were armed with handguns and used them to intimidate the victim into surrendering their wallet.
The victim, who has not been named, complied with the demands of the assailants, who then proceeded to drive away in the stolen vehicle. The Metropolitan Police Department has since recovered the robbed car, continuing their investigation into the perpetrators' identities. The suspects are still at large, and officers have asked anyone with any relevant information to come forward to assist with the ongoing case. A description of the assailants has not been made available to the public as of yet.
