
A fatal collision in Ann Arbor claimed the life of a motorcyclist on yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of West Stadium Boulevard and Winewood Avenue, as reported by FOX 2 Detroit. The motorcyclist, a 46-year-old man from Milan, was heading south on West Stadium Boulevard when his motorcycle struck an SUV attempting a left turn onto Winewood. Due to the impact, he sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities indicated that excessive speed might have played a role in the crash. The driver of the SUV, described by MLive as a 60-year-old man, was not injured. After the collision, West Stadium Boulevard was shut down for several hours between West Liberty Street and South Maple Road and reopened shortly after 6 p.m., complicating traffic in the area.
