An Ottawa County man is facing criminal charges after being accused of exposing himself to young employees at an ice cream shop in Georgetown Township. The man identified as Robert Linscott, 68, reportedly engaged in the indecent acts at What's the Scoop, located on Baldwin Street, on separate occasions. According to information provided by WZZM 13, on June 23, Linscott ordered ice cream and subsequently exposed himself to a 19-year-old employee from under his shorts. Additionally, he is reported to have engaged in inappropriate physical conduct while observing the young worker.

Investigators faced initial difficulties in identifying Linscott, but a breakthrough came following a second incident around a month later, on Sunday, when Linscott once again exposed himself at the same establishment, this time to a different employee. The staff managed to capture a photo of him this time, which aided deputies in his identification, as reported by FOX 17 News. Further investigation led to Linscott's admission of the allegations during an interview with deputies, following his arrest on July 29.

Linscott has a prior history of similar offenses. He has been subject to six indecent exposure investigations between Ottawa County and Kent County, with one instance resulting in a conviction for misdemeanor indecent exposure. In light of his latest alleged transgressions, Linscott was arraigned in the 58th District Court on two counts of Indecent Exposure by a Sexually Delinquent Person. He remains incarcerated with a bond set at $100,000 cash/surety, according to information from WWMT.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate these incidents and encourages anyone who may have information or may have been a witness or a victim of a similar incident, to make contact with the Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
