
Galt Police were spurred into action by a silent panic alarm triggered at Galt High School on Saturday, July 13th. Officers became aware of an intruder trespassing on the campus, according to the Galt Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers quickly discovered a compromised padlock at a maintenance shed. Backed by a K9 officer, they issued warnings. The Department's statements notes that K9 Kane was instrumental in locating and aiding to apprehend the suspect within the shed.
The individual, a white male in his twenties whose identity has not yet been disclosed by the Galt Police Department, was apprehended and was shortly thereafter subject to medical evaluation.
After hospital's clearance, the young man was transitioned to the Sacramento County Main Jail. Charged with a litany of offenses including burglary, the suspect found himself facing an additional outline of charges: resisting arrest, and possession of burglary tools, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia, confirmed by the police department's statement.
