President Joe Biden is slated to set foot in Las Vegas next week where he'll be addressing audiences at two major civil rights conferences. According to News 3 LV, the President will participate in the 115th NAACP National Convention at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on Tuesday, July 16, followed by a speaking engagement at the UnidosUS Annual Conference at MGM Grand on Wednesday, July 17.

The White House has confirmed that during these events, President Biden is going to to further detail his administration's "commitment to advancing racial justice and equity for all Americans, including Black Americans," His visit comes shortly after the 60th anniversary commemoration of the Civil Rights Act in Austin, Texas. Biden's discussions at the UnidosUS Annual Conference will reportedly highlight the "historic accomplishments including lowering prescription drug costs for America’s seniors, lowering the Latino uninsured rate, and creating a Latino small business boom." as per News 3 LV.

As reported by KTNV, the NAACP convention, running from July 11 to 17, is themed "All In" and aims to "reaffirm our commitment to using our collective ingenuity, creativity, and strength to continue the fight for civil rights and social justice." The UnidosUS Annual Conference, on the other hand, from July 15 to 17, is set to welcome over 1,500 attendees and features more than 100 speakers with Biden being one of them.

This sequence of events takes place in a key moment for the Biden-Harris administration, considering Nevada's critical status as a battleground state in the upcoming presidential election. Generation of support in the state is evidently a priority, underscored by Vice President Kamala Harris's visit to the valley for a campaign event focusing on the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
