A family dispute turned violent earlier today on the west side of San Antonio, leaving one man hospitalized and another in custody. According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 8700 block of Marbach Road around 12:30 a.m. following reports of a stabbing incident. The police discovered one man bleeding heavily from a stab wound upon their arrival, as reported by KENS 5.
It was a dispute or argument that had escalated, as noted by authorities, which led to the brother stabbing his sibling. Running to contain the bleeding, officers immediately applied a tourniquet to the wound triggered by the stab. The victim, whose condition was described as serious, was then transported to University Hospital for treatment. While suffering from the stab delivered by his sibling, no information has been provided on what led to the altercation between the brothers.
Further details were scarce, but the suspect — the brother of the injured man — was detained by police at the scene. The nature of their argument and the circumstances leading to the violence have not yet been made public, but the incident remains under investigation. FOX San Antonio confirmed that the authorities are still working to determine the charges the man will face.
