In a sweeping crackdown dubbed Operation Consequences, law enforcement across San Bernardino County has ramped up efforts to suppress crime. Spanning from July 13 to July 19, the operation was a joint endeavor involving various agencies, such as the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division and the United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.
According to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, focused operations took place across several communities, including Yucaipa, Loma Linda, and San Bernardino, yielding dozens of felony arrests and the seizure of multiple firearms.
The operation, which culminated in a targeted push on July 19, resulted in six search warrants and contacted gang members along with individuals who were prohibited from owning firearms. Despite being designed to tackle crime, the efforts of investigators spread across Yucaipa, Loma Linda, and other counties found 24 firearms, some being untraceable 'ghost guns', as per the SBSD - Headquarters.
