
Early this morning, Seattle Police officers rushed to the 12500 block of 30th Avenue Northeast after receiving a report of a collision that quickly transitioned from a traffic incident to a homicide investigation. According to the Seattle Police Department's blog, the emergency call came in at approximately 4:45 a.m. involving two males in what began as a disturbance and tragically ended on the streets of Lake City.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 33-year-old male lying in the road. The Seattle Fire Department was already there, employing all possible life-saving measures. However, despite the efforts of first responders, the man was pronounced deceased. The SPD confirmed that there was an altercation between the victim and a suspect who has since eluded capture.
The SPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in bringing about a resolution to a morning that commenced with calamity and irrevocable loss.
