An altercation at Splach Bar & Grill escalated to violence early Thursday morning. KENS 5 reported that police were called to the 900 block of Nogalitos Street shortly after the incident occurred around 2 a.m., arriving at a chaotic scene where shots had been fired following a dispute among patrons.
According to witnesses, helping employees to clear out the bar as it was nearing closing time were the regular customers when the argument broke out. It intensified outside the establishment, leading to one of the non-regulars pulling a trigger and discharging three rounds toward one of the regulars, as they made their way back inside, FOX San Antonio reports. In response, a scattered crowd spilled into the San Antonio streets, and the suspects vanished before police could apprehend them.
The San Antonio Police Department has not yet confirmed any injuries resulting from the incident, leaving open the possibility that the targeted individual escaped unharmed. As of now, officials are in the process of gathering evidence and statements, combing through the chaos in search of clarity. As for the shooter, no description has been provided, and they remain at large. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
