
Chaos was averted in Carson Sunday afternoon, as a Union Pacific train careened off the tracks without causing any injuries, according to FOXLA. The incident unfolded just past 4 p.m. near 223rd and Alameda streets, with SkyFOX's aerial footage capturing the aftermath of the derailment, which left train cars lying on their sides.
While the cause of the mishap is currently shrouded in mystery, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed some property damage did occur, and despite the violent nature of such events, the good fortune of zero injuries reported brings a silver lining to the otherwise grim scene, CBS News Los Angeles details about the site of the derailment showed several cars tipped over.
