The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) has issued a murder warrant for Adiah Damir Roberson, the suspect in a fatal shooting incident at a local Sonic Drive-In. The confrontation, which claimed the life of 33-year-old manager Daniel Shrewsbury, arose out of a dispute involving money at approximately 9:30 p.m. on July 7 on the Northwest Side of San Antonio. Roberson is now wanted on murder charges, and the police have called on the public to assist in locating the suspect. Anyone with pertinent information has been urged to reach out to the SAPD Homicide Office, Fox San Antonio reports.
The altercation took place at a Sonic restaurant located in the 5500 block of Babcock Road, the SAPD detailed, after which Roberson allegedly used a firearm against Shrewsbury. According to the SAPD, after being shot, Shrewsbury managed to make his way inside the establishment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The motive behind the shooting has been linked to a financial dispute, with police confirming this in their initial statements, although the specific details surrounding the argument have not been disclosed, KSAT discloses.
In the immediate aftermath of the crime, SAPD released photographs of two individuals believed to be connected to the case. Further investigations and tips received by the authorities led to the identification of Roberson as the shooter. However, the second person previously considered a suspect is no longer linked to the murder. As the search for Roberson continues, the authorities have not provided updates on whether any accomplices are suspected or the precise circumstances preceding the fatal shooting.
Law enforcement's efforts to locate Roberson are ongoing, with SAPD reiterating its appeal to anyone with information to come forward. The department has released contact details, (210) 207-7635, for its Homicide Unit, imploring the community's cooperation in apprehending Roberson, as detailed by Fox San Antonio.
