Following a daring escape over the weekend, one of the two teenagers who fled Abraxas Academy, a juvenile detention center in Berks County, has been apprehended. According to CBS News Philadelphia, Tyler Lutz, 18, was taken into custody in Bucks County on Monday night. The search continues for the second escapee, a 16-year-old named Dustin Lomas.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department reported that Lutz, who is to be charged with escape, was found nearly two days after the initial breakout, as stated by NBC10 Philadelphia. Authorities had realized the teens were absent only a few hours after they had managed to quickly climb over the facility's fence on Saturday. Lomas, still at large, was described to be wearing blue attire consisting of a hoodie, T-shirt, and sweatpants during his escape.

Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania State Police alerted the public to the potential whereabouts of Lomas, who hails from Bucks County, specifically the Bristol Township area. Officials initially thought it likely he would try to make his way back to the Levittown area, as noted by FOX 29 News. However, there has been no confirmation of his location as the search persists.

Details on why the two youths were placed in Abraxas Academy have not been disclosed. "Both teens fled in an unknown direction and their escape was not confirmed until a few hours later," reported NBC10 Philadelphia. Both escapees were donning matching blue hoodies, white t-shirts, and blue sweatpants at the time of their escape. The capture of Lutz came as a break in the case, yet the community remains on alert as one of the pair continues to evade capture.
