Despite the severity of the situation, the weapon has yet been located and there have yet been any arrests; police meanwhile are continuing the investigation into this heart-wrenching incident, according to information provided by authorities. The city's struggle with gun violence sees a slight glow of hope as the number of reported homicides in Philadelphia appears to be declining, a 40 percent reduction from the same period last year, now standing at 139 for the year 2024, as noted by NBC10 Philadelphia.
