A violent confrontation on Ocean Boulevard in the Pacific Beach neighborhood has left two people injured, with one in potential danger of losing their life. The incident occurred last night at 10:51 PM and was recorded as case number 43890 by the San Diego Police Department. The altercation involved a couple and a group of teenagers, with the dispute escalating to a stabbing.

The SDPD Watch Commander, Officer Buttle, reported that "the victims, a 51 year old male and his 23 year old female companion were walking along Ocean Blvd when a group of 5-6 teenagers walked up to them and started an argument." The situation took a violent turn when one individual from the group proceeded to stab the female in the left knee. The male victim, attempting to intervene, then sustained multiple stab wounds to the back, resulting in serious injuries, including a lacerated diaphragm and spleen. He also suffered from a dislocated big toe, abrasions to his chin, and bruising.

According to the official San Diego Police Department's statement, the assailants fled the scene, heading northbound on Ocean Boulevard before turning east on Garnet Avenue. Both victims were transported to the hospital, with the male victim's injuries being considered potentially life-threatening. No suspects have been taken into custody, and the Northern Detectives have taken over the investigation.

The SDPD is urging the community to come forward with any information that could lead to resolving this case.
