Last Saturday, to bolster community support through friendly competition, the Waxahachie Police Department challenged the Waxahachie Fire-Rescue Department in the "Battle of the Badges," a blood drive aimed at seeing which department could recruit more blood donors. This event, hosted in collaboration with Carter BloodCare, was not just a gamified show of force between two public safety pillars, but a crucial call to citizens to aid in the collection of life-saving donations.
Interested donors were urged to join the cause at the police department located at 630 Farley Street from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 27. The police department harbored the Carter BloodCare bus, their mobile donation center, facilitating the community’s contribution towards this critical supply. According to the Waxahachie Police Department, supporting Carter BloodCare was another way they served their community, and the public's participation was equally significant.
To expedite the process, potential donors were encouraged to sign up in advance through a link provided by the police department. For those looking for additional details or seeking to direct queries, Officer Taylor was made available as a contact at the police department, complete with a phone number and an email address for better accessibility and community engagement.
