Two Wildomar residents, Devin Rodriguez, 20, and Jazmine Carrillo, 18, have been arrested after they were caught on surveillance footage vandalizing a property on Hillcrest Court. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred late on Independence Day, when the suspects were seen spray-painting a brick wall and using gasoline to intentionally create flames.
Sergeant Jarrod Meissen reported that deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station's Special Enforcement Team responded to the vandalism call at approximately 11:02 p.m. In a statement obtained by the Sheriff’s Department, it was estimated that the damages caused by Rodriguez and Carrillo summed up to roughly $1,200. During the course of the investigation, deputies were able to quickly identify and locate both suspects, and they have since been booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. Rodriguez faces an additional charge of arson on top of felony vandalism.
