
In a recent law enforcement action, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported the arrest of a Yucaipa man on charges related to child pornography. Issac Ruiz, aged 23, was apprehended after a search warrant was served at his residence on Wildwood Canyon Road, as reported by the SBSD - Yucaipa Police Department.
According to a sheriff's department statement, part of the Los Angeles Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was alerted through a Cybertip which led to an investigation into Ruiz. This endeavor culminated on July 3, when detectives from Yucaipa and the county’s Crimes Against Children Division along with, Fontana Police Department detectives conducted a raid on Ruiz's home at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Officers seized numerous cell phones and other electronics from the property, as detailed by the Yucaipa Police Department. It was discovered that at least one of these devices contained child pornography. Post the search, Ruiz was booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino with bail set at $30,000.
KTLA reports that Ruiz is anticipated to face charges of possession and distribution of child pornography at his upcoming court date. Jail records reveal that his court appearance is scheduled for Monday following his arrest.
