
On May 27, the Southwest District of Baltimore became a crime scene when a 41-year-old man was fatally shot in the early hours of the morning. The Baltimore Police have now reported an arrest in connection with the incident. Jajuan Smith, aged 34, is accused of shooting Corey Robinson in the 2700 block of West Fairmont Avenue, leading to Robinson's untimely death, according to a post by the Baltimore Police Department.

Baltimore Police's social media update outlines the critical timeline that led to the arrest. Initially, following the shooting, Southwest District patrol officers found Robinson with life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently taken to a local hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. After a detailed investigation, Smith turned himself in at the Baltimore Police Headquarters on August 15 and was apprehended without any further incident.
In the wake of the arrest, Smith now faces first-degree murder charges. Detectives involved in the case have transported Smith to the Central Booking Intake Facility after his surrender.
