The city of SeaTac is set to dismiss charges against a group of 46 pro-Palestinian activists, known as the "Sea-Tac 46," who in mid-April staged a protest that blocked an expressway leading to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and affected roughly 100 flights, with two dozen getting delayed. The protesters have signed an agreement that mandates each to complete 10 hours of community service or maintain a record with no criminal violations for three months before the charges are dismissed, as reported by KOMO News.

During the April protest, travelers, some were attempting to catch flights, were seen abandoning their vehicles and walking to the terminal, a sign of the immediate impact the demonstrators had on the day-to-day operations of the airport. The Seattle Times noted that the act of civil disobedience was in pursuit of an immediate cease-fire in the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and called for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel.

These 46 individuals were charged with disorderly conduct and failure to disperse and were released from jail after posting $500 bail, according to the Seattle Times.
