In the wake of recent storm damage, Cuyahoga County has stepped up to provide residents with much-needed yard cleanup assistance. The Office of Emergency Management has joined forces with notable volunteer organizations, including Team Rubicon and the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Ohio, to support those wrestling with the aftermath of disruptive weather. A hotline has been set up to help those dealing with tree and yard debris.
For those in need, the process is straightforward, dial (330) 208-9761 to request assistance. These services, crucial in times of distress, are provided free of charge. According to a statement from the Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management, cleanup operations are scheduled to commence next week. It is a collective effort to restore order to a community grappling with nature’s unforeseen chaos.
The teams will engage in substantial yard work, which includes cutting down fallen trees and tree limbs on private properties and bundling and stacking the resulting debris for municipal pick-up services. This comprehensive initiative is designed to lighten the burden on local residents, ensuring that the recovery process is not a solitary endeavor but a community-driven pursuit of repair and healing.
