Early voting in Central Florida is now open, setting the stage for what's to come in a much-anticipated primary election. Participants in Orange and Osceola counties made their way to polling stations starting Monday, according to Spectrum News, with early voting slated to run through Aug. 18. For those who prefer the mail-in method, applications must be sent by Aug. 8, a deadline fast approaching.

Elsewhere, Lake County voters will have their early voting period commence on Thursday, while residents in neighboring counties, such as Brevard, Flagler, Marion, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia, can begin casting early ballots on Aug. 10 according to WFTV. These counties have varying voting hours, so voters should check local election office schedules to plan their voting time accordingly.

In addition to primaries, early voting for the general election is scheduled from October 21 through November 3.
